Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist

The Group relies on the Group Digital Services organization to support its global operation and growth.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EDI Specialist to join our team. The EDI Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between our organization and external partners. The ideal candidate will have expertise in EDI standards, integration processes, and mapping tools, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention

Your role

• Design, implement, and maintain EDI solutions to support business operations.

• Monitoring upgrades for servers, hardware and software.

• Second level support for more complex problems that the ServiceDesk cannot handle.

• First level support for change requests.

• Support day to day Group wide EDI processing functions including troubleshooting operational issues and implementing new EDI customers and suppliers.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate EDI systems with ERP and other enterprise applications.

• Monitor EDI transactions and resolve issues promptly to prevent disruption to business operations.

• Analyze and correct errors in inbound and outbound data transmissions.

• Document EDI workflows, processes, and trading partner requirements.

• Provide training and support to internal teams on EDI systems and processes.

• Identify opportunities to enhance EDI processes and systems for greater efficiency and reliability.

• Stay updated on emerging EDI technologies and best practices.

Your Skills:

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in EDI development and integration or a similar field

• In-depth knowledge of EDI standards, including EDIFACT, XML, and JSON.

• Strong understanding of file formats and data transformation techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Your Profile:

• Possess a university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.

• Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and solution-oriented with excellent communication skills.

• High level of process documentation skills.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
