Equipment Engineer Leader

Lead and manage the equipment engineering team to ensure all production machines are installed, maintained, optimized, and running reliably, supporting high-speed cable manufacturing operations.

1. Lead and mentor a team of equipment engineers and technicians, assign tasks, and develop technical skills.

2. Oversee installation, commissioning, and optimization of extrusion, PE fill/shell, wrapping, twisting, and jacketing machines.

3. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.

4. Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.

5. Plan and execute equipment upgrades, modifications, and automation improvements.

6. Maintain equipment documentation, including manuals, maintenance records, and SOPs.

7. Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and QA teams to ensure equipment meets process requirements and quality standards.

8. Train operators and technicians on proper equipment operation, safety, and maintenance procedures.

9. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety compliance.

10. Spare Parts Management: maintain inventory, plan procurement, evaluate suppliers, control costs.

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering.

2. 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering, preferably in cable or wire manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

3. Strong knowledge of extrusion, PE fill, wrapping, twisting, and jacketing machinery.

4. Hands-on experience in machine installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

5. Experience in spare part management, procurement planning, and supplier coordination.

6. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM, FMEA) is preferred.

7. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to work across multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
