About this role:
As an Event Manager, you have to plan and organize promotional, business, and social events. You will be responsible for running a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. Events Manager plays a huge part in the success of a brand and organization.
As an Event Manager, you'll organize conferences, seminars, and exhibitions as well as parties and corporate incentive trips. You will work on creating an event signature style that will promote a balanced lifestyle, cultural awareness, and promote brand recognition.
You'll overlook the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Understand the events market and identify the concept of the event for Balance Hospitality.
- Update and Propose Event package to the market.
- Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements, and propose and follow up with the contract process.
- Work with General Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, and Room Division Manager for all the related parts but not limited to: Recreation, team building, Rooming list, and events Packages to produce detailed proposals for events Banquet Event Orders (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets)
- Research venues, suppliers, and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire
- Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing teams to public and promote the event
- Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers, and delegate packs
- Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries, and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
- Organize facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality, and the media
- Make sure that insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are followed
- Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
- Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
- Research opportunities for new clients and events.

- Experience in the hotel/ Hospitality Industry for 3+ years with the same positions
- Deep practical understanding of the customer market
- Adaptable (as in - can come up with new solutions and ideas if needed, not just go by the rule book)
- Pedantic, precise, and in a way, strict.
- Good at people management, a team player
