Finance & Accounting Manager (Import & Export function)

To lead and manage finance and accounting activities for overseas commercial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong commercial support, and compliance with export–import and international business requirements.

This role acts as a key finance business partner to overseas commercial teams, supporting pricing, margin optimization, cash flow, and business decision-making in international markets.

Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting Operations

- Manage end-to-end accounting activities for overseas commercial and export–import business, including AR/AP, GL, inventory, revenue, and cost of goods sold.

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.

- Handle foreign currency transactions, including FX revaluation and exchange differences.

- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation with overseas entities.

Export–Import & Commercial Finance

- Oversee financial aspects of export–import operations, including logistics costs, customs-related charges, and international settlements.

- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with Incoterms and export contract terms.

- Support commercial teams in pricing, margin analysis, deal evaluation, and contract review from a financial perspective.

- Monitor profitability by market, customer, and product to support commercial decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Control

- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for overseas commercial activities.

- Monitor actual performance vs. budget and identify risks and opportunities.

- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance across international operations.

Compliance, Tax & Audit

- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and export–import requirements.

- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, customs brokers, and overseas stakeholders.

- Support audit, tax reviews, and internal control improvements for international operations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Good command of English is mandatory (working with overseas stakeholders, contracts, and financial reports).

- Strong foundation in accounting with hands-on experience in financial reporting and closing.

- Background in Audit (Big 4 or reputable audit firms) is highly preferred.

- ACCA or CFA qualification is preferred, with completion of relevant levels aligned with the current role requirements.

- Experience in export–import, international trading, or overseas commercial business.

- Solid understanding of Incoterms, international payment methods (LC, TT, etc.), and foreign currency accounting.
