Role: Individual Contributor Reporting line: Head of Finance Business Partner Function: Finance | Department: Financial Partnering Position Objective: - Take full responsibility to handle assigned groups of Business’s operating expense from end to end including planning, forecasting, actual spending monitoring, management reports and preparing other deep-dive financial analysis as requested. - Understand key drivers of business performance, identifying trends, areas of opportunities or remedial actions and influence the implementation of initiatives to address these to drive financial KPIs/agenda. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered. - Building FBP’s team capability and strong team bonding to share mutual understandings, best practices and drive total FBP’s learning and development agenda. Roles and Responsibilities: A. Effective planning and forecasting, budget management and analysis (35%) - Take lead and work closely with Business Functions to perform annual planning and regular forecast of operating and activities expenses by expense line as per committed timeline and required approval process. - Ensure sufficient monthly expense tracking and monitoring spending activities via accurate actual expense & timely accrued expense booked on SAP vs. approved budget/forecast. Do variance analysis vs budget/forecast and differences will have to be investigated and justified. - Provide on-going financial consulting support to Business Functions as the role of a Finance reprensentative to facilitate and solve all matters related to financial processes handled by various sub-sections of Finance team. - Support line manager to generate adhoc analysis to facilitate various review/study on efficiency and effectiveness of spending activities with recommendations and lesson learnt. B. CAPEX management and maintenance (10%) - Provide support and guidance to PM and PMO to ensure compliance with capex policy and procedures. - Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets, join with IT for periodic physical counts of fixed assets. Evaluate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets & recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of. - Closely monitor project timeline, liaise with PMO and PM to facilitate the project closing process upon completion in accordance with project governance. - Maintain a detailed schedule of projects with accumulated depreciation to keep track accrued depreciation expenses of unclosed but completed projects. - Be a role of CAPEX management champion to represent FBP’s team in consolidate capex budget and spending monitoring and own total capex policy and governance. C. Performance Deep-dive analysis and Projects management (20%) - Ensure compliance with project financial frameworks and provide financial support and advice to company strategic projects, performing business case reviews (cost and benefits) and financial analysis and monitoring. - Deliver solutions to business issues by undertaking robust, deep-dive financial analysis on operating costs and service delivery resource allocation. Apply tailored financial assessment models to assist in decision making and determination of actions to improve financial performance, including projects/program, feasibility assessments and scenarios evaluations. - Be a representative for FBP’s team to work with Technology - Digital - Analytics (TDA) Transformation in all strategic cost/benefits post projects to ensure benefits realization as committed from business team and work on moving-forward solutions to re-baseline or redistribution when under committed deliverables. D. Reporting, System and Process Improvement (20%) - Proactively explore solutions to simplify and improve financial process to provide best support to business yet still meet financial disciplines. - Co-ordinate with other teams in Finance to enhance system and adapt automation where possible to improve work productivity. - Coordinate with other sub-Finance teams to implement & timely communicate to Departments about other Finance’s system & process changes. - Be the champion of PAG system and total PMO’s governance and update and guide other FBP’s team in terms of template, workflow, system administration and lead any innovation to enhance the process. E. Stakeholders Management (15%) - Communicate and engage effectively with all stakeholders to provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of financial practices and policies - Encourage creativity in others, continuously learn and share new ideas and promote innovation techniques to maximize the value of new opportunities - Drive high performance, lead by example and manage self and others to perform at their optimum - Think and act strategically and use insights to inform decisions.

Job requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance. Certificate in CPA/ACCA/CFA is a Plus. Experience: - 3-5 years of working experiences in multinational company. - 2 years of experiences in the managerial role of financial planning and business partnering. - Experience in leading and driving financial management within a large, complex organization. Knowledge: - Life Insurance business is a Plus - Financial analysis knowledge is a Must. - Accounting knowledge (VAS/IFRS) is required. - Experience with accounting system (e.g. SAP) and other expense management tool is a Plus. Hard skills: - Strong logical, analytical and critical thinking to resolve business problems - Strong numerical with excellent ability to visualize big picture from set of data details - Propensity to plan strategically yet be able to adapt quickly to reality - Demonstrated experience in financial management and business partnering Soft skills: - Intermediate required level of such soft skills as communication, time management, teamwork, transferability and proactivity - Intermediate required level of work ethics with key focus on integrity, responsibility and cooperation - Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with experience in negotiation and conflict resolution - Adapting to change with resilience and positive and proactive attitudes.
