Finance Director

We are looking for Finance Director who will work directly with CEO for all finance and accounting’s activities at Galaxy Education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Define key performance indicators for the company through analysis to drive business decisions and solutions to growth, costs, cash flow, and profitability, etc.

- Control budget and approve expenses, ensure all expenses are (1) consistent with approved budgets, (2) strictly follow Company’s processes and procedures;

- Leadership of company financing activities, including fundraising through debt and/or equity and management of stakeholder relationships, including shareholders, bankers, auditors, and tax advisors.

- Act as a Business Partner and proactively advise to support BOD in business decisions through judgment, highlighting options, trade-offs, risks, and opportunities.

- Lead and manage a finance/ accountant team for day-to-day operations to ensure the efficient functioning of this department.

- Prepares forward looking analyses - focusing not only on past performance, but also foreseeing Risks & Opportunities in coming quarters/years with action plan proposals in order to ensure target achievements.

- Strong risk management approach, helping the company identify business risks and implementing appropriate responses to the same.

- Ensure control and governance requirements are met.

- Serve as the vital compliance custodian, including Tax and Financial Regulatory requirements, and drive a best-in-class control environment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Auditing required; MSc/ MBA is a plus.

- CPA, ACCA, CFA is a strong advantage.

- Have more than 10+ years of progressive finance and strategy leadership experience, with at least 4 years of (Sr.) Finance Manager experience.

- Have strong leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills.

- Have experience in finance operation.

- Have experience in fundraising.

- Ability to synthesize, analyze, and make sound financial plans/decisions to help preserve and develop the business's assets

- Excellent communication and external skills both in English and Vietnamese.

- Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

Skills management required

- Experience in building, managing, and leading the Finance & Accounting team.

- Leadership skill, decision making skill.

- Have experience working in field of E-commerce/ Edtech/ Fintech/ Capital Fund.

- Have experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and with different stakeholders.
