Freight Forwarding Manager

Job purpose:

Manage freight forwarding operation and strategy including Sea & Air Import/ Export.

Main responsibilities:

1. Build operational processes and procedures, flowcharts, etc…

2. Control daily operation working flow to ensure cargo handling in the department smoothly.

3. Manage vendors, suppliers and customers database.

4. Participate in vendors and suppliers’ assessment.

5. Participate in negotiation of inquiry or rate request from oversea/ domestics agents.

6. Participate in project of assessment and auditing.

7. Support accounting team to collect debt from customers if any.

8. Take care and follow customer & agent ‘s inquiry relating service or freight rate & work out action plan to improve service quality if needed.

9. Take care and follow freight rate from shipping line, airline, buying cost from outsourcing company and control operation cost.

10. Solve arising issues related to the department operation and responsible for south forwarding operation jobs.

11. Build-up the relationship with the relative parties.

12. Be responsible for leading team including new staff recruitment, staff training, job assignment, job performance evaluation, department KPI achievements and other people management tasks.

13. Prepare periodical reports as assigned.

14. Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

Degree: - University degree.

Major: - Foreign trade, Economics, Business administration or International economics.

Knowledge: - Logistics, Forwarding. IATA and FIATA knowledge

Experience:

- At least 10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding.

- At least 05 years of experience in managerial role in logistics company.

Language: - Good command of English at all skills.
