Furniture Engineer - Northern Vietnam

The opportunity is open for engineers with solid experience in furniture product development, having self-motivated and good collaborating skills.

Description

The successful candidate will report to Engineering Director and performance the following tasks:

* Collaborating between the vendors in Vietnam and US Engineering team on the product design;

* Support product development phases to ensure product meets requirements;

* Ensuring quality, safety, cost effectiveness at the Contract Manufacturing site;

* Oversee pre-production and production phase to ensure product meets requirements;

* Collaborate with vendors to develop manufacturing processes, tooling and techniques;

* Frequently update progress of projects to Asia leadership and the US teams;

* Partner with US Engineering to execute DFMA and manufacturing feasibility;

Profile

The ideal applicants should have:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical or related fields;

* 5+ year experience with furniture products, materials and manufacturing processes; some plastics and soft goods experience preferred;

* Experience and understanding in CAD drawings, BOM, specs and tolerances;

* Experience with managing end-to-end new product development;

* Having knowledge of Design for Manufacturing process;
