Responsibilities:
- Assist CEO & key management team with aligned strategic plans to build and implement a proactive government and community relations effort
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Government & Community Relations annual plans and budget, the development of hospital policy concerning government relations, and directing the work of staff on government and community relations projects and events
- Research and monitor government legislation and policies; Guide the internal departments & external audiences to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of key public policy issues
- Build and maintain professional relationships with a significant network of elected officials at the city, county, and government oversight organizations.
- Ensures that positive relationships are established and maintained with significant civic influence in the cities served by the hospital
- Engages in joint planning and evaluation of community initiatives, sponsorships, and communications with the Director of Marketing and Communications.
- Ensure compliance maintained with federal, and local lobbying disclosures and ethics rules
- Provide technical assistance on government issues as needed
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
- Bachelor’s degree required in political science, public affairs, public relations, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience in government relations and/or public communication in a professional environment required
- Develop and maintain relationships with public officials and their team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and execute tangible results, using strong problem-solving and presentation skills in a fast-paced environment
