Head Agronomist

The role is to enhance and advance our program on regenerative agriculture and agroforestry in Asia. ***Duties and Responsibilities Strategy Formulation; Capacity Enhancement and Partnership Development; Guaranteeing Relevance and Impact; Project Development - Jointly lead the development of an integrated framework and implementation strategy for regenerative agriculture initiatives in Vietnam’s coffee sector based on the latest research and the needs of clients and partners. - Craft and implement a technical training module on regenerative agriculture for field personnel. - Build strategic partnership(s) with pertinent research bodies and academic institutions. - Conduct regular field trips, lead community consultations, and focus group discussions with local farming communities to better understand the local context and their evolving needs. - Coordinate the work with local research institutions and consultants to conduct in-depth studies on diversification and adopting regenerative agriculture/agroforestry methods. - Evaluate our existing agricultural initiatives to refine their strategies, key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring, and reporting within the new framework. - Support our project teams by regularly reviewing project activities and deliverables, assisting them in refining methodologies, and grounding our strategy in technical excellence and research. - Manage the quality assurance of project execution and maintain documentation of acquired insights. - Support our project teams with the identification and the conceptual design of projects in anticipation of feasibility studies. - Provide technical inputs to the proposal and ensure alignment with the overall program strategy (KPIs and objectives).

***Qualifications - Master’s degree in agricultural science, agroforestry, environmental science, biology, or related fields. - At least ten years of direct experience in tropical agriculture and agroforestry, with mandatory experience working with smallholder farmers. - Proven experience in program management, demonstrating an ability to multi-task and manage tasks professionally, efficiently, and with a positive attitude. - Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with an international team and clientele. - Willingness to travel to various project sites. - Proficient in both Vietnamese and English.
