Head Of Technology

The Head of Technology will provide strategic leadership in technology and engineering, enabling OnPoint to maintain its leadership position in Southeast Asia’s fast-growing eCommerce landscape. This role will spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our technology solutions to drive innovation, scalability, and operational excellence across all facets of our eCommerce ecosystem. Additionally, the Head of Technology will be responsible for managing the technology budget to ensure effective resource allocation and cost management. You will work closely with executive management, product teams, and operations to ensure that technology is a strategic enabler of OnPoint’s business goals.

Technology Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and implement OnPoint’s technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

• Provide visionary leadership, setting strategic technology goals that ensure innovation and competitiveness.

• Drive the transformation of eCommerce technology solutions, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and reliable.

• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team across software development, network, infrastructure and security.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Ensure best practices in software development, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity are followed across teams.

• Setup Key Performance Indicators and robust processes.

Product & Solution Development:

• Oversee the architecture, design, and deployment of OnPoint’s eCommerce products, tools, and integrations.

• Ensure seamless integration of various technology solutions, enabling smooth workflows across eCommerce operations.

• Collaborate with product management and business departments to deliver best-in-class solutions for our employees, partners and customers.

Security & Compliance:

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to safeguard OnPoint’s platforms, data, and infrastructure.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including data protection and cybersecurity laws in Southeast Asia.

Cloud Infrastructure and Office Network Management:

• Manage the cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

• Oversee office network to maintain availability and performance.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers to deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions.

• Liaise with key stakeholders (internal and external) to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage the technology P&L to ensure resources are allocated effectively, driving both innovation and cost-efficiency.

• Monitor expenses, ensure budget compliance, and identify areas for cost optimization.

To succeed in the role, you should ideally have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within the eCommerce, retail, or technology sectors.

• Proven track record of leading large teams with expertise in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and platform architecture.

• Experience in building scalable Technology solutions, ideally within high-growth, fast-paced environments.

• Strong understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem, including omnichannel integration, logistics, fulfillment, and customer experience.

• Deep knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.

• Experience in modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevSecOps.

• Strong background in cybersecurity and compliance, particularly in data protection and transaction security.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business results.

• Fluent in spoken and written Vietnamese and English is required.
