HSE Engineer

* Definition of the job:

HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal standards. This position works closely with relevant departments and contractors to identify risks, develop control measures, improve the HSE system, and promote a strong safety culture across the entire plant.

* Position responsibilities:

1. Safety Responsibilities

- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.

- Conduct daily safety patrols in the factories to Identify unsafe acts/conditions and non-conformities and follow up with relevant positions for corrective action

- Supervise contractor activities within the company premises to ensure compliance with safety procedures

- Monitor equipment requiring calibration and ensure proper declarations and documentation.

- Participate in incident and accident investigations, and follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Coordinate PPE selection, distribution planning, and effectiveness monitoring in cooperation with Production Assistant

- Cooperate emergency response planning and drills (fire, chemical spill, evacuation, etc.).

- Conduct HSE training for all new staffs, ensure timely completion and proper documentation.

Track expiry dates for mandatory trainings and coordinate with departments to schedule and ensure compliance.

2. Environment Responsibilities

- Identify environmental aspects to proactively take action plan

- Track segregation of general, recyclable, and hazardous waste at the workplace.

Prepare and monitor waste manifests.

- Monitor and test wastewater - air emission.

Maintain environmental data records.

- Prepare and submit periodic environmental compliance reports (waste, wastewater, air emissions, etc.) or as requested.

3. Health Responsibilities

- Participate in identifying and evaluating health risks related to job tasks (e.g., ergonomics, exposure to noise/chemicals). Support implementation of control measures.

- Perform internal measurement of occupational exposure factors (e.g., lighting, noise, temperature) and follow up with mitigation actions if required.

- Monitor availability and condition of first aid kits. Assist in emergency medical response procedures during incidents.

- Prepare and submit health management document, working environment report or as requested

- Others: Perform other assigned task by direct manager

• Education: Environmental Engineer/ Labor Protection Engineer or Suitable technical degree in technical college/ university.

• Experience: 2-3 years as HSE Officer/ HSE Generalist or similar position
