International Logistic Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE

The Logistics Specialist role is responsible for managing and executing international logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient shipment of purchase orders. This includes:

• Collaborate with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and suppliers to support with daily operation.

• Build strong working relationships with origin contacts, including forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners, to align with International Logistics objectives.

• Assist in resolving incidents and operational challenges that impact the supply chain at origin. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and forwarders to address issues related to space constraints, equipment shortages, port congestion, and operational discrepancies.

• Support Southeast Asia (SEA) freight consolidation operations (CFS), including monitoring performance metrics, conducting audits under the guidance of the line manager, and contributing to process improvements in CFS management.

• Track and report shipment status, promptly escalating delays or exceptions with proposed solutions. Assist with maintaining key supply chain metrics, including KPIs and scorecards, under the supervision of the line manager.

• Provide reporting support for logistics analytics and overall logistics management.

• Proactively identify and support process improvement initiatives within logistics operations to enhance service levels and reduce costs.

The Logistics Specialist communicates and coordinates with Service Provider community in SEA. This position serves as a key liaison among suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers and internal stakeholders for daily operation.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Support line manager on functional activity and projects

 Act as the main liaison among suppliers, forwarders, carriers, and internal teams.

 Regularly monitor and evaluate service providers and vendor performance

 Manage space bookings, equipment allocations, and resolve logistics disruptions.

 Analyze logistics KPIs and support cost and process optimization initiatives.

 Identify and implement creative solutions to operational challenges and opportunities

INTERNAL

USE

 Team coordination

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in international logistics or freight forwarding.

• Good knowledge of global transportation modes (ocean, air, intermodal) and customs procedures.

• Preferred experience in the areas of: trade management, operations management, transpacific shipping, cargo forwarding.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

• Proficient with Microsoft software suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Good communication skills (both written and oral) in English.

• Chinese speaking and experience dealing with Chinese factories would be a plus.
