Investment Officer

Position Objective:

The Investment Officer supports the Investment Asset Management Team in executing the company’s investment strategies. This position focuses on market analysis, investment proposal preparation, and monitoring portfolio performance to ensure investments are compliant, effective, and aligned with Shinhan Life Vietnam’s objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Prepare regular market updates and reports covering macroeconomic trends, the bond market, and the financial sector.

- Prepare internal investment reports summarizing performance, yield movements, and investment positions.

- Review and propose investment opportunities in government bonds, corporate bonds, term deposits, and other approved financial instruments.

- Conduct credit and risk analysis of issuers and make recommendations for the company’s investment whitelist.

- Assist in monitoring portfolio duration, yield, and concentration to ensure compliance with internal limits and regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with relevant departments (Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Actuarial) to support reporting and investment execution.

- Work with banks, securities companies, and fund managers to collect market information and negotiate investment terms.

- Perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Team.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Auditing or a related field.

Experience: No experience or up to 2 years of experience in investment, auditing, or related financial fields.

Skills required:

- Strong analytical and numerical skills.

- Basic understanding of Vietnam’s financial and capital markets.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; able to create clear and visually appealing presentations.

- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills in both English and Vietnamese
