S&O IP specializes in trademark prosecution and on trademark portfolio management. In addition, S&O IP specializes in IP enforcement actions and on implementing made-to-measure enforcement strategies, especially focusing on cross-border infringements and complicated criminal IP cases.

As we are expanding our business, we are looking for motivated and accomplished IP Associate to join the team in Ho Chi Minh/ Hanoi office.

1. Communicate with international clients and/or render written and oral advice to clients on various legal and other issues which fall under the practices of the firm, including, but not limited to, IP Prosecution; IP disputes; enforcement actions; market research;

2. Assist senior attorneys/consultants in analyzing cases, drafting documents, preparing advice, and reporting to clients;

3. Provide thorough analytical and practical proposals and advice to clients and potential clients in a timely manner;

4. Respond to enquiries from clients and potential clients in a timely manner;

5. Work directly with authorities or examiners for all IP disputes;

6. Handle Trademark Search, Opposition, cancellation, invalidation, appeal or licensing and franchising contracts

7. Handle IP infringement cases, including communication with the infringers and the authorities or litigation if necessary;

8. Perform other tasks relevant to or in connection with the foregoing; and

9. Other tasks as requested by the nature of the position and senior attorneys.

Required:

This opportunity would suit a proactive self-starter, a diligent and career-focused lawyer/IP Attorney who wants to deal with IP disputes for global clients. In addition to the foregoing practical experience requirements, you will have:

1. At least five years of post-qualification experience in IP laws;

2. Law degree/ IP Certificate. Lawyer or registered IP attorney is an advantage;

3. Fluency in English both speaking and writing;

4. Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and research skills;

5. Excellent problem-solving ability and good organizational skill;

6. Strong commitment to client service;

7. Proven track record in working with IP authorities on IP disputes;

8. Hard working, responsible and reliable person;

10. Willingness to travel as needed;

11. Active, enthusiastic and proactive manner;

12. Team player.
