Junior Finance Controller

Job Purpose:

The Junior Finance Controller supports financial control activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role focuses on data analysis, process improvement, and providing insights to enhance business performance. Additionally, this role acts as a finance partner to the Marketing team, responsible for budget control, investment analysis, decision-making support, and ensuring transparency and accuracy in all marketing-related financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the Marketing (A&P) budget, ensuring spending is aligned with plans and delivers optimal efficiency

• Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance

• Collaborate with cross-function teams to build and update actual and monthly rolling forecasts

• Monitor cost control and support variance analysis

• Support financial analysis requests and reporting from Group and cross-functional departments

• Ensure accurate accounting treatment and proper accruals during month-end closing

• Evaluate the financial effectiveness of marketing campaigns, initiatives, and innovation/renovation projects.

• Prepare brand/SKU-level P&L reports and analyze profitability by product/channel.

• Prepare all assigned reports related to A&P spending and performance

• Perform ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as required

• Ensure compliance with internal financial processes and Danone’s global policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably in FMCG or multinational companies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).

• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment.

• Good command of English (both written and spoken).
