Junior Front-End Developer/shopify Developer

Pacific Informatics is seeking a Junior Front-End Web Developer to join our Web Technology Team. The qualified individual will be working closely with the Web Technology Team to effectively deploy and manage a stable, responsive and secure website for excellent customer experience. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain mobile-responsive custom Landing Pages, Blog Posts, Applications and/or Solutions in a Shopify Development Environment.

- Implement responsive web design in a Shopify theme.

- Implement custom solutions and new site features to enhance the customer experience.

- Deliver superior website performance for customers ensuring all applications are performant.

- Regularly update and maintain product information using Shopify’s eCommerce Platform and Amazon S3.

- Test, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade application software and code as needed.

- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a flexible work environment.

- Participate in an Agile web development process.

- Candidates must have a strong command of the English language, with a minimum of 6.0 IELTS score or equivalent. This position requires a dedicated individual with 1-3 years of relevant.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong understanding of Front-End technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap 4.

- Experience with JSON and RESTful APIs via the HTTP protocol.

- Knowledge of code versioning tools, such as GitHub.

- Knowledge of responsive design best practices.

- A passion for high-quality UX and attention to detail.

- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in the Shopify development environment utilizing Shopify Theme Kit and Shopify’s templating language, Liquid.

- Experience with React, Angular, Vue or other JavaScript framework.

- Experience with RESTful web services via the HTTP protocol and JSON.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify websites.

- Knowledge and experience applying SEO best practices.
