Molex Vietnam has been operating its first factory at Thang Long Industrial Park I since 2007. Currently, Molex is investing in a NEW FACTORY located at Thang Long Industrial Park II, Hung Yen province, with a total investment of approximately 145 million USD, covering an area of 100,000 m² and divided into 3 phases. This factory will produce high-tech products, such as high-speed cables and optical devices.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Support the department manager in overseeing quality control at Molex’s Contract Manufacturers. Ensure operations meet quality and delivery objectives while continuously improving supplier quality performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Effectively and promptly address supplier quality issues to protect customers. Drive suppliers to implement containment, corrective, and preventive actions using the 8D methodology.

2. Collaborate with Customer Quality Engineers (CQE) to manage customer complaints and the RMA process. Support CQEs in delivering timely 8D responses to meet customer expectations.

3. Work closely with Manufacturing Process Engineers (MPE) to manage daily supplier quality performance, focusing on yield and capacity improvements to support operations.

4. Lead and coordinate on-site process audits for both new and existing suppliers. Plan and conduct regular QMS audits to monitor supplier quality systems and drive continuous improvement.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer audits. Ensure suppliers address non-conformance findings and implement continuous improvement actions.

6. Support new project development as the plant AQP representative. Participate in relevant project phases and ensure successful product/tool qualification and safe launches.

• Lead shipment assessments and deviation reviews for both NPI and mass production phases using risk-based thinking to ensure delivery quality.

7. Manage supplier PCNs (Process Change Notifications), ensuring all changes are verified and approved before implementation in the CM process.

8. Support inter-site project transfers by working with stakeholders to develop comprehensive qualification plans. Lead process and product qualifications to ensure safe transitions.

9. Conduct internal audits to support the maintenance of the Virtual Plant’s QMS.

10. Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher

• Preferred: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 5 years in a quality department, with at least 3 years in supplier quality management

• Preferred: Experience in connector manufacturing, electronics, or related industries

Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC

• Strong communication skills, both internal and external

• Familiar with stamping, molding, and assembly processes

• Solid understanding of GD&T

• Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are a plus

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards

• Strong team player

• Willingness to travel internationally

• Preferred: Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes
