Ladies Technical Footwear Developer ( Senior Candidates Welcome)

• Support Merchandise Teams in all Ladies and Men’s Product development, meet aesthetic & quality requirements working to the tight deadlines.

• Confident in new Fabric/ Leather and Trim development & sourcing

• Work closely with the merchandising and technical teams to ensure products meet Buyer’s requirements

• Price negotiation and understanding of the price breakdowns when developing.

• Trend research with a good understanding and interpretation for our UK customers

• Provide a liaison link between Vietnam Factories & the UK Buying Offices for Technical Developments.

• Work with new and established suppliers helping them to understand the Buyers requirements.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Ladies Leather Footwear field, product development / design skills preferred.

• Pattern making and developing new Shoe last experience

• An excellent understanding of the Ladies and Men’s shoe market

• Familiar with UK Footwear market is advantageous

• Strong in Ladies Footwear – Leather and PU – Men’s Footwear knowledge an advantage

• Ability to drive the business through product focus

• Organized and self-motivated, able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Ability to think and work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of people including European Buyers and Factories in Vietnam and Cambodia

• Knowledge of Key materials, shoe components and able to work on breakdown prices.

• Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese spoken language preferred to communicate with Taiwanese Factories.
