Landscape Architect (Design & Site)

***Position Summary:

The Landscape Architect (Design & Site), under the Developer’s Project Development team, is responsible for managing the full life cycle of landscape works — from design concept through construction and handover. The role ensures that the landscape design upholds the project’s overall vision, quality standards, sustainability goals, and cost efficiency. This position acts as a coordinator with external landscape consultants, architects, contractors, while also monitoring on-site implementation to ensure design intent is maintained.

***Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Management:

• Lead and coordinate with appointed landscape consultants from concept, schematic, to detailed design stages.

• Review and comment on design submissions, drawings, specifications, and material samples to ensure compliance with the Developer’s design brief, brand standards, and budget.

• Coordinate design integration with architecture, structure, infrastructure, and MEP disciplines.

• Support management in presentation and reporting to senior management, authorities, and other stakeholders.

• Evaluate value-engineering options without compromising design quality or sustainability.

2. Construction Coordination & Site Monitoring:

• Review and approve contractors’ shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups for compliance with approved design.

• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, detailing, planting, and workmanship align with the approved drawings.

• Work closely with the construction management team to resolve on-site technical issues and ensure landscape works progress according to schedule.

• Provide design clarifications (RFI responses) and coordinate consultant input during construction.

• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of softscape, hardscape, and irrigation systems.

3. Quality, Sustainability & Compliance:

• Ensure that landscape implementation aligns with project sustainability goals (e.g., native species, stormwater management, irrigation efficiency).

• Verify that all landscape materials and plant species meet approved quality standards.

• Maintain consistency with the Developer’s design identity, branding, and aesthetic standards.

• Coordinate with consultants for authority submissions and approvals related to landscape works.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain and track all design documentation, submissions, approvals, and change records.

• Prepare progress reports, inspection notes, and summary updates for internal management review.

• Review as-built drawings and landscape maintenance manuals prior to project handover.

5. Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination:

• Serve as the primary landscape contact between the Developer and all design/construction stakeholders.

• Manage coordination among landscape consultants, contractors, and other design disciplines.

• Support meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment on design and implementation.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field.

• Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in landscape design and site supervision, preferably on large-scale residential, mixed-use, or hospitality developments.

• Prior experience working for a Developer, PMC, or large design-build organization is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and site detailing.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Project, and MS Office.

• Bilingual in English and Vietnamese is an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to balance design vision with technical, cost, and operational constraints.

• Based in Ho Chi Minh City; frequent business travel within Vietnam.
