Landscape & Architecture Design Director – Expatriate Position

The Landscape & Architecture Design Director is a strategic leadership role that combines creative direction in integrated landscape and architectural design with high-level client relationship management for premium development projects.

This position is suitable for international candidates with experience in urban developments, resorts, waterfronts, parks, and comprehensive landscape design for large-scale commercial and urban real estate projects.

Key objectives of the role:

• Lead the overall landscape and architectural design direction of projects, ensuring international standards, ecological integrity, aesthetics, and a distinctive identity that enhances local cultural value.

• Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with domestic and international clients and investors, ensuring communication quality, schedule control, and design excellence.

• Serve as the key bridge between clients, the CEO, and the design team, ensuring smooth operations, transparency, and maximum alignment with project expectations.

A. Leadership in Landscape & Architectural Design Direction

• Develop core creative concepts and landscape identities for urban, resort, waterfront, park, and public-space projects.

• Guide the entire design development process and planning for the design team.

• Present design proposals to clients, international partners, and professional councils, confidently defending and clarifying design intent.

C. Project Coordination, Quality Control & Client Communication

• Coordinate effectively among the CEO, Design Director, design teams, and clients.

• Oversee concept development, project progress, quality standards, and feasibility.

• Collaborate with architectural, technical, MEP, lighting, and interior consultants to ensure consistency and design integration.

D. Market Development & Brand Representation

• Identify and cultivate new project opportunities in Vietnam and the region.

• Represent WGD at conferences, workshops, and international exhibitions.

• Support the development of portfolios, proposals, client profiles, and brand communication materials.

- Degree in Landscape Architecture / Urban Planning / Architecture. Preference for international graduates from the US, Canada, EU, or Australia.

- Minimum 7 years in landscape design + client management. Priority for candidates with experience in international firms or major consulting groups, and those with experience in Vietnam.

- Creative leadership, multitasking, presentation, communication, and client strategy.

- Professional English (required). Vietnamese is an advantage.

- AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, InDesign, MS Office.

- Highly sociable, adaptable, culturally aware, open-minded; systematic thinking, creativity, responsibility, and strong client orientation.
