Legal Manager

We're looking for a highly skilled and proactive Legal Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in safeguarding the bank's interests by providing comprehensive legal support across various functions, including business, operations, and new product development. You'll also play a key role in knowledge sharing and, when required, assist with board secretarial duties.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide expert legal advice and draft essential documentation for our banking business, and address legal matters related to daily banking operations.

- Manage the legal aspects of loan recovery and other litigation matters, protecting the bank's assets and interests.

- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business units, offering guidance on new products, policies, and procedures to ensure legal soundness and compliance.

- Handle various company secretarial matters, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.

- Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on relevant legal topics. Keep other divisions informed about significant legal developments and updates, fostering a legally aware environment.

- Provide essential legal and secretarial support to Hong Leong Group companies' investments in Vietnam.

- Bachelor's Degree in Law is required

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the banking industry and/or a reputable law firm

- A lawyer's professional qualification certificate is preferred

- Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
