Position summary
This is a multifaceted position that requires a flexible working schedule, including late evenings and weekends. The working hours and workload will be managed through a calendar maintained by the supervisor as well as a help desk system where tickets for support needed from this position holder will be assigned and managed. This position focuses on the delivery of outstanding oversight and support to lighting, sound and other associated equipment in the school theatre (auditorium) and other spaces, media production, livestream broadcasting and out of school hours technical support for events. You will be providing a high quality service to nearly 1200 students, 400 educators, 2500 parents and event guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain and assist in setting up lighting/sound equipment across campus, as directed.
• Coordinate scheduling and technical assistance for all school events with relevant teams.
• Provide technical input for audio/lighting projects school-wide.
• Assist in monitoring theatre environmental controls (AC, power).
• Receive technical training.
• Ensure theatre equipment is working and report issues to operations.
• Provide AV/IT setup, teardown, and support for events (livestreaming, translation, recording).
• Record all incidents and requests in the helpdesk system (walk-ins, phone, email).
• Monitor, evaluate, and share responsibility for all helpdesk incidents/requests.
• Meet assigned Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Analyse incidents/requests for necessary coordination, escalation, or delegation.
• Assist with asset/inventory management and hardware/software deployment.
• Assist with e-waste management (donation/disposal).
• Support the procurement specialist in vendor correspondence for faulty hardware.
• Stay updated on the latest technology trends in lighting, audio, theatre, livestreaming, and media production.
• Participate in evaluating new theatre technology projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
● Education/Qualification: Undergraduate degree highly desirable; experience/certifications in sound/lighting and theatre management required.
● Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role, preferably in a large multi-cultural organization (highly desirable).
● Skills/Knowledge (Required): Critical thinking, analytical mindset, collaborative, positive attitude, excellent English communication, growth mindset, excellent customer service, support/troubleshooting of theatre lighting/sound, basic electrical knowledge, practical technology troubleshooting/maintenance/installation, ability to work at elevated levels, tight spaces, lift heavy equipment, and stand for long periods.
● Skills/Knowledge (Highly Desirable): Procurement/management of theatre lighting/sound, ITSM/Help Desk platforms, Asset Management/Procurement, effective change management, creating knowledge base/documentation, understanding of modern AV needs in T&L, Google Workspace experience.
● Communication & Stakeholder Relations: Professional conduct, needs assessment, proactive solutions, effective feedback, informed judgment, clear and adaptable communication, professional networking, and actively seeking input.
