Logistics Manager

• Day to Day Management working with regional vendors, service providers, destination logistics, cross functional teams, regional logistics teams – coordinating the movement of finished goods into the international transportation network.

• Capacity & Space Management – working closely with senior internal cross functional teams & external logistics providers to forward plan and secure / negotiate sufficient capacity so product can move to meet critical demand.

• Ownership of performance against key milestones pre handover to destination teams – Origin Dwell, Feeder Transit, Transshipment Dwell, Mother Vessel Connectivity.

• Proactively seeking to drive operational process enhancements and system optimization (oracle TMS).

• Manage allocation of orders to respective Air & Ocean forwarders/ carriers according to bid awards.

• Support forecasting and projection of volume data to Air & Ocean forwarders and monitor changes.

• 3PL Performance Management – Leading in region performance reviews with 3PL senior management teams, to identify performance issues and establish go forward improvement plans.

• Developing new Logistics Solutions to mitigate risks (capacity challenges, service failures), support growth (sourcing shifts) and optimize speed / cost e.g., cross border trucking in Asia, new origins, multi modal transportation.

• Onboarding new manufacturers, ocean / air service providers - rolling out and managing adherence to standard operating procedures.

• Working as a trusted partner to proactively update and educate regional senior cross functional teams on key logistics market issues and opportunities.

• Partnering with Raw Material Teams to validate and benchmark in region transportation solutions and costs for raw materials.

• Support other ad hoc regional supply chain development projects.

• Periodic review of vendor KPI results/ improvements & monitor ocean container utilization/ factory loads.

• Team Leadership – People Coaching & Development.

• Degree or above in logistics or supply chain management.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in international logistics industry, preferably in fashion retail sector.

• Experience of managing across multi country origins, diverse cultures, and familiarity with transportation to N. America, Europe, and China market.

• Experience in managing logistics service providers – deep knowledge of Ocean and Air operations.

• Good working knowledge in MS Office, SAP and hands-on knowledge in Oracle TMS is an advantage.

• Strong relationship building skills gained through experience working as part of regional cross functional teams.
