Logistics manager

Reports to: General Director

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee all logistics activities at our Vietnam facility. This role also includes a secondary responsibility of supporting global teams with international trade compliance matters.

The role is structured as follows:

• 75%: Logistics operations management for the Vietnam site

• 25%: Advisory role for international trade compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Vietnam Logistics Operations (75%)

• Lead daily logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation, shipping documentation, customs clearance, and local deliveries.

• Coordinate closely with the Production Control Department to align shipping schedules and production timelines.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate documentation, proper cost allocation, and compliance with financial procedures.

• Work alongside the Warehouse Department to optimize internal workflows related to material handling, receiving, and dispatching.

• Evaluate and negotiate shipping contracts and transport solutions (air/sea/land) for cost efficiency.

• Monitor and report on logistics KPIs such as delivery lead times, cost efficiency, and performance of 3PL providers.

• Supervise and develop a small logistics team (5–10 members), ensuring operational excellence and adherence to safety standards.

Trade Compliance Support (25%)

• Serve as a knowledge resource for the global Therm-X organization.

• Provide advice and guidance on import/export regulations, especially for North America, South America and Asia destinations.

• Support product classification (HTS codes), tariff analysis, and documentation reviews.

• Advise internal teams on compliance with origin labeling, bonded transfer requirements, and duty/tax implications.

• Stay current on trade policy changes and share insights with relevant departments globally.

• Handle tariff dispute resolution in collaboration with 3PL providers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders, ensuring appropriate evidence and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or import/export management, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment

• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping practices

• Experience working with brokers, freight forwarders, and bonded warehouse processes

• Familiarity with HTS classification and global tariff structures

• Fluent in English and Vietnamese

• Confident using ERP or logistics software systems
