Overview

We are looking to employ a very smart, motivated machine building engineer, to oversee / manage our machine production from start to sign off.

Our modern factory is located in Binh Chanh district of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Overview of the role

Working with project managers and customer requirements, prepare production schedules for engineering and manufacturing.

• Plan, monitor, and update the production schedule.

• Maintain regular communication between design engineers and manufacturing to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.

• Ensure that any outsourced work is sent to suppliers capable of handling job and completing job in a timely manner.

• Maintain open communication with outside suppliers, assessing their ability to perform work that meets our standards.

• Coordinate with sales and estimating to generate projected timescales for projects.

• Ensure all drawings are updated to ‘as built’.

• Ensure that operation and maintenance manuals are completed and properly distributed.

• Work with the relevant project engineer to ensure all aspects of assigned projects, are completed to a high standard, and no loose ends remain after completion.

• Resolve discrepancies which may occur, with regards to engineering drawings.

• Must have 5+ years of experience manufacturing industrial machinery (capital equipment).

• Strong working knowledge of machine shop practices

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical fundamentals

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Understanding of the following machine shop equipment, milling machine (CNC / manual), lathe, surface grinder, planner, wire eroder.

• Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding encountered in machine building

• Understanding the basic electrics of a machine and how to wire key components.

• Our machines are CNC / PLC / HMI type, we have a specialist for this area.

• Good working knowledge of machinery safeguarding principles and standards as it applies to production work cells

• Good working knowledge of pneumatic / hydraulic control circuits

• Excellent English oral and written communication skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft products, Excel Work and Project

• Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and disciplined approach to work.
