POSITION PURPOSE
The Student Recruitment Manager will assist the Head of Student Recruitment & Business Development in overseeing two sales teams, currently being led by two Associate Managers. This role involves strategic planning and process improvement to enhance enrollment and retention. Collaboration with various departments is essential to implement effective recruitment strategies and ensure a seamless student experience. The manager will also analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Lead Generation, Student Recruitment & Event Coordination
• Partner with various lead generation channels, including agents, schools, marketing and corporate entities, to organize recruitment events, webinars, and informational sessions.
• Collaborate with the Event Team to plan and execute student recruitment activities that engage prospective students.
• Work closely with the academic team & internal teams to align recruitment activities with program offerings and academic goals.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies for outreach initiatives that effectively attract prospective students.
• Coordinate logistics and promotional activities for events to maximize attendance, engagement, and sales conversion.
2. Student Recruitment Leadership, Management & Training
• Lead and motivate two sales teams, ensuring alignment with university goals and targets by setting clear expectations and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Provide coaching and support to Associate Managers and sales representatives, offering regular feedback and resources to enhance their skills and performance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, utilizing key performance indicators to assess individual and team success, and set clear, achievable objectives that drive accountability and growth for all team members.
• Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of sales teams, ensuring alignment with the university’s recruitment strategies.
• Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, handouts, and e-learning modules, that incorporate best practices in student recruitment and sales techniques.
• Facilitate training sessions to accommodate different learning styles and enhance knowledge retention among staff.
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, making continuous improvements to ensure that training remains relevant.
• Mentor team members through ongoing development initiatives, encouraging career growth and fostering a culture of professional development within the organization.
3. Customer Care Coordination:
• Work closely with the Care Team to ensure effective support for current applicants, aiming to reduce drop rates and increase the referral rate.
• Develop retention strategies and provide timely follow-ups to prospective students throughout the application process.
• Address applicant concerns and feedback to improve the overall student experience.
4. Process & Procedures Improvement:
• Analyze current recruitment processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Propose and implement process improvements to streamline student recruitment activities. Work with relevant departments for digitalization of the proposed process.
• Develop and standardize procedures for lead management, follow-ups, and conversion.
• Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
5. CRM Management:
• Manage the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads, applications, and conversions.
• Oversee the effective use of CRM tools for data management, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and applications.
• Train team members on CRM best practices and usage for optimal lead management.
• Utilize CRM data to generate reports that inform decision-making and strategy.
6. Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes, presenting data clearly for easy understanding.
• Analyze competitor actions and market trends to find growth opportunities and inform recruitment strategies.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential target demographics, ensuring recruitment efforts are aligned with market demands.
• Present findings and recommendations to Head of Student Recruitment & Business Development to support planning and decision-making.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve recruitment strategies and outcomes.
• Collect feedback from prospective and enrolled students to enhance recruitment processes and meet their needs.
7. Others
• Prepare an annual budget, schedule spending, analyze discrepancies, and take corrective action to meet financial objectives.
• Propose promotional & sales schemes that support the highest student recruitment performance.
• Participate in Postgraduate Sales Events & Activities when required.
• Undertake any other assignments as delegated by the Line manager.
• Assist Head, Student Recruitment & Business Development when needed to collaborate with other BUV’s departments (ie Head of School etc) to achieve enrollments target, etc.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in student recruitment or sales management, preferably in the education sector.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Sales & Tele sales Training Skills & Sales Material Training Development & Design.
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Familiarity with the Vietnamese education market and cultural nuances is an advantage.
• Experience working in a flexible and changeable environment.
• Excellent people management skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
• Fluent in English with both speaking & writing.
Desirable
• Experience in the local Vietnamese education market.
• Knowledge and understanding of the education market and the challenges within this sector.
