Master Scheduler

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning staff to manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), material planning, and procurement activities. This role ensures production plans are aligned with demand forecasts and that all required materials are available on time and at optimal cost to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand & Capacity Analysis: Analyze demand data, to determine production requirements. Perform capacity planning to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks and ensure the production plan is achievable.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between Production, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure seamless communication and alignment on the production schedule. Facilitate regular planning meetings to review performance and address any issues.

• Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to support the production plan while minimizing waste and carrying costs, in line with Lean principles.

• Schedule Adherence & Performance Monitoring: Track production output against the master schedule, analyze performance metrics (e.g., production attainment, on-time delivery), and report on progress to management.

• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify risks and conflicts in the production schedule. Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve issues related to material shortages, equipment downtime, or changes in customer demand to minimize disruption.

• System Management: Maintain accurate data within the company system, including production orders, lead times, and inventory parameters.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the automotive parts industry is highly preferred or heavy industry.

• Technical Skills:

• Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.

• Can use advantage Excel (VBA, power query) is plus and visualization tools also.

• Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of production planning, inventory control, and capacity planning principles.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts (e.g., Just-In-Time, Kaizen, ) is essential.
