Material Flow Specialis/Group Leader (Shift)

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the shift leader, responsible for controlling all aspects related to Raw Material handling activities at the factory including receiving, storing and delivering all raw materials as required by productions. Providing leadership to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in the areas of safety, people, quality, responsiveness and cost initiatives.

ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

• Develop an annual training program for members according to the roadmap, maintain knowledge, standard skills, and rotate positions.

• Standard training to recognize, distinguish, and operate for all workers, quickly and promptly respond to production needs.

• Taking human development as a core value to develop future leaders to achieve growth and sustainability.

SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

• Develop and implement safety management activities during the process of moving materials, operating and using machinery and equipment, and forklifts.

• Minimize cases where errors arise, causing delays in the supply of raw materials and seriously affecting general operations (stopping production).

FUNCTIONAL JOB

• Responsible for performing all material handling activities in the most efficient and cost-effective methods as much as possible, establishing process excellence, standard task sheets (STS) for all teams to ensure clear understanding of business performance goals and objectives, ultimately responsible for timely delivery of parts to all plant assembly areas without disruption.

• Develop business plans that deliver monthly operational efficiencies through a culture of Continuous Improvement. Develop and provide leadership to a high performing team and develop talent, empower and support teams to improve the work environment and remove any constraints.

• Responsible for establishing and operating a number of material supply strategies: Kitting, Sequencing, Direct to line, etc.

• Ensure that all programs meet the three criteria for a successful vehicle launch: on time, excellent quality, and meet and/or exceed program financial goals.

• Evaluate potential risks in the work area, propose action plans to eliminate or minimize risks. Train your employees to perform thoroughly and ensure that no occupational accidents occur.

OTHERS

• Work with Manufacturing partners to implement strategies to enhance value-added activities in manufacturing.

Degree/ Qualification

• College/University Graduated (Prefer University for new recuitment)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Change Management, Warehousing and Material Handling for complex and high-volume Manufacturing, preferably in the Automotive sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a management position with a team of 50 people or more

• Proficient in English in 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)

• Knowledge and understanding of LEAN Manufacturing systems and operational excellence is an advantage

• Extensive knowledge and experience of Warehouse Management Systems and SAP

• Experienced in the Warehouse and Material Flow setup phase, developing and implementing successful Lean Material Systems and Operational Excellence

• Able to work independently, work in groups, and work in a high-pressure environment

• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and proactive with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to execute successfully in multinational relationships
