Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer - Working time: From 8:00AM to 17:00 PM including one-hour lunch break, 6 days per week - Working Place: Temporary office: Binh Thanh, HCMC (until Aug, 2024) Project Site: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province  Job Descriptions General ­ Report to: Project Manager (PM)/ Project Engineer ­ Job Purpose: Plan and confirm the mechanical equipment design and facilities of the plant in accordance with the contract documents, applicable laws, regulations and standards. Assist the procurement and construction works for mechanical equipment and facilities. Assist and/or carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical equipment and facilities at site  Major tasks: 1. Assigned Equipment, Facilities, etc. a. Static Equipment, etc. Pressure vessel, tower and vessel, heat exchanger, tank, steel structure/stage, etc. b. Rotating Machinery, etc. Pump, Blower, Agitator etc c. Package Equipment Filling system, boiler, air compressor, cooling tower, etc. 2. Monitor and Control Design Engineering Work a. Monitor and confirm engineering work schedule, document list. b. Monitor and control the schedule and delivery of vendors. 3. Planning & Design Engineering Work a. Confirm equipment list. b. Confirm loading data and reference drawings for equipment foundation design. c. Confirm equipment specifications and data sheets. Prepare schematic drawings of pressure vessels, heat exchanger, etc. attached to material requisitions for purchasing. d. With CAD and/or 3D-CAD software, prepare Overall procedure with Site Manager. e. Prepare material requisitions for purchasing equipment and systems with Project Engineer. Conduct bid analysis (technical, scope of work) of vendors’ quotations. Review vendor documents, fabrication/installation procedures, factory inspection procedures, pre-commissioning/ commissioning procedures, operation manuals etc. f. Coordinate fabrication plan with manufacture at engineering, material receiving, fabrication and inspection stage. g. When so requested, attend the factory inspections, and check such inspection items as quality, performance, dimensions, paint, quantities, etc. Revise material requisitions as necessary and prepare revised design documents for change order adjustments to vendors. h. Field engineering work at shop and site i. Coordinate interface with other design group (process, piping, boiler, electrical instrument, civil, building etc.) 4. Matter Worthy of Special Mention a. This project is a three-company consortium (Engineering: MPS, Civil engineering and construction: Penta-Ocean Construction (POC), and Mechanical equipment/plant electrical equipment: JFEE), we will closely collaborate with partner companies. b. When the construction stage begins, be involved in construction under the Construction Manager.

 Job Requirement 1. Technical Skills - Science and Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, etc. - Familiar with international & local code and standard for pressure vessel (ASME Sec.VIII Div.1, TCVN etc.) regulations, standards, etc. applicable to static equipment. - Experiences in using analysis software, spreadsheet, CAD for pressure vessel, equipment design (PVelite etc). - Business English Proficiency (Writing, Communication) 2. Competencies - Productivity: Improve the productivity and efficiency of the work by continuously reviewing the work processes - Problem solving: Identify problems promptly, analyze possible causes from various angles, develop and execute remedial plans - Diversity: Acknowledge and accommodate the differences in nationality, race, and religion. 3.
