Mechanical Engineer

What You’ll Do on a Daily Basis:

• Design and create innovative products and subassemblies in 3D for the Canadian and U.S. markets, with strong commercialization potential.

• Ideate and develop complete mechanical systems, such as production equipment and final products for market launch (e.g., ensuring initial criteria are met, justifying the selection of components, mechanisms, etc.).

• Produce and review 2D/3D technical drawings of new products and subassemblies to be sent to the company’s various suppliers.

• Collaborate with local and international suppliers to ensure quality sourcing and project progress.

• Contribute to full project management: follow-up with suppliers, monitor constraints and deadlines, manage budgets, order parts, etc.

• Contribute to solving technical problems with our design team to optimize the performance of our current products.

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering

• 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related product development experience

• Strong knowledge of Solidworks and/or Inventor

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proven leadership abilities and a team-oriented mindset

• Excellent project management and priority-setting skills

• Strong command of Google tools (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)

• Knowledge of rendering software (e.g., KeyShot) is a plus

• Familiarity with Slack and Airtable is an asset

• Proficiency in spoken and written English (French is a plus)
