Medical Wellness Director

1. Position Purpose

The Medical Wellness Director oversees the development and implementation of integrated medical wellness programs at Citta Wellness Resort. This role ensures that wellness services align with evidence-based practices, holistic health principles, and the resort’s brand promise of comprehensive well-being. The Director works cross-functionally with spa, fitness, nutrition, psychology, and medical practitioners to deliver a seamless and personalized guest experience.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Strategic Development

• Develop and implement the medical wellness strategy for the resort in alignment with corporate objectives.

• Identify trends and innovations in the wellness and medical industries to inform service development.

• Establish protocols, standards, and treatment guidelines for medical wellness services.

2.2 Program Management

• Oversee the planning and execution of wellness programs, retreats, and workshops.

• Evaluate and ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of all medical wellness services.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external health experts and institutions.

2.3 Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and supervise medical wellness staff including doctors, therapists, and consultants.

• Foster an environment of continuous learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Ensure compliance with relevant health regulations and licensing requirements.

2.4 Guest Experience & Personalization

• Oversee guest assessments and diagnostics to tailor wellness journeys.

• Ensure high standards of guest care, privacy, and satisfaction.

• Continuously monitor feedback and adjust offerings accordingly.

2.5 Integration with Resort Operations

• Collaborate with other departments (spa, F&B, marketing, operations) to integrate wellness into the overall guest experience.

• Support marketing initiatives by contributing expert content and participating in promotions.

• Monitor budgets, financial performance, and KPIs of the wellness division.

3. Key Requirements

3.1 Education and Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) required.

• Additional certification in integrative medicine, wellness coaching, or public health is a plus.

3.2 Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in clinical and/or wellness leadership roles.

• Experience in hospitality or resort wellness preferred.

3.3 Skills and Attributes

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Deep understanding of holistic and preventive healthcare.

• High emotional intelligence and guest-centric mindset.

• Strategic thinking with operational execution capability.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
