Merchandiser (Knit & Woven Category) (Working Location: HCM)

Key Responsibilities

- Manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars across seasons based on fabrication and delivery requirements.

- Coordinate fabric development with third-party mills, including pricing, sample yardage, capacity, and delivery schedules.

- Negotiate costs and prepare multiple pricing options aligned with customer target prices.

- Develop and maintain accurate costing sheets and follow up on revisions.

Manage bulk fabric ordering, lab dip approvals, and on-time fabric delivery.

- Coordinate sample development (fit, red tag, TOP) with factories, technical teams, and customers.

- Support order allocation planning in line with factory capacity and mill production flow.

- Lead pre-production coordination to ensure fabric, trims, testing, and styling are approved before bulk.

- Track production status, generate MPOs when required, and provide WIP updates to customers.

- Employment contract is signed with a third-party vendor; however, the role operates under MGF’s management and business direction.

- Diploma or equivalent experience in Apparel Merchandising, Textile, or related fields.

- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in apparel development and sourcing, with strong exposure to non-denim knit & woven categories.

- Experience working with third-party factories and fabric mills; Rep Office or Trading Company background is a plus.

- Strong costing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and problem-solving capabilities.

- Good English communication and writing skills.
