Microbiology Lab Supervisor

Responsible for supervising and leading a group to:

- Maintain smooth operation of the team to conduct testing and deliver accurate and independent test reports in a timely maner;

- Develop new test methods under guidance of Lab Manager to expand lab capability to meet clients requirement; and

- Improve lab productivity and save operation cost.

Lead team leaders to assign the task to technicians

Review results of normal/routine tests or the tests with abnormal observation before sending them to CS team to prepare reports for clients.

Study and review test methods, SOP, client’s manuals and prepare the proper resources to ensure that jobs are conducted in compliance with required methods/ SOP/ manuals.

Study new test methods to be developed and assign the tasks to team leaders.

Summarize the validation/verification process before it is reviewed by Lab manager."

Review the complaints/claims and/or cooperate all teams for investigation to find out the root cause to submit for Lab Manager review and suggest proper corective actions to be implemented;

Responsible for maintenance of laboratory equipments

Responsible for quality management system (ISO 17025)

Ensure day-to-day compliance in HSE & Quality management system (SOP, forms, guidelines, equipment calibration, ISO17025, etc.) and escalate potential operation risk.

Perform other tasks assigned by the Lab Managers.

University graduate in: Microbiology/Biotechnology (Microbiology lab)

At least 4 years of experience outside SGS of the same field.

Trained or experienced in ISO 17025

English level C equivalent
