New Product Development Project Supervisor

The NPD Project Leader is responsible for leading the entire process from the conception to the launch of innovative products.

Leveraging exceptional leadership and profound project management skills, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering cross-functional communication and collaboration to drive continuous optimization and growth of our product lines.

This position requires strategic vision, keen market insight, and outstanding problem-solving abilities to guide the team through challenges and achieve the company's long-term goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

• Cooperate with US project leader for all assigned projects and provide support.

Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.

Prepare project budgets, capital expenditure forecasts, status reports, and other reports as necessary to effectively manage the project activity.

• Communicate, both verbally and written, to assure all groups are working toward the goal of timely project completion.

Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers in multiple locations.

• Drive design of project to meet market-driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing requirements.

• Analyze, evaluate, and select from design execution alternatives to best meet specification objectives and implement designs into mass production.

• Plan and oversee design and safety reviews as needed to gain necessary approvals for product development phase progressions.

• Comply with all Milwaukee procedures covering new product development and design output in addition to procedures of non-engineering departments related to project flow.

• Consistently visualize the entire scope of a project with very little guidance.

• Schedule, develop agendas, facilitate, and document project meetings.

• Track the project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines.

• Regularly make presentations of project status.

• May occasionally recommend changes to existing standards and procedures.

• Maintain an awareness of competitive offerings and the general business climate in the power tool industry.

• Identify project risks and implement risk reduction plans.

This position will be based in Saigon Hitech Park District 9, HCMC. Shuttle bus from District 1, 7, 9, 12, Thu Duc, Go Vap; Dong Nai; Binh Duong is available.

• Bachelor degree in engineering related field required (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material and Science Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical degree).

• Post graduate degree is preferred.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the related field.

• Minimum 2 years of prior experience in engineering project management.

• Work experience at a multinational company is preferred.

• Candidate be aware of Western culture and cross-country management is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of product development processes, production technologies, and quality standards.

• Must have working design knowledge of a wide variety of the technologies associated with Milwaukee products.

• Must possess managerial skills combined with technical expertise, along with a working knowledge of planning, budgets, and financial analysis.

• Must be able to personally conduct detailed analyses, recognize the need, and seek the appropriate expertise to achieve the desired results.

• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile development).

• Strong leadership and team-building skills to effectively motivate team members.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities, able to work in multicultural environments.

• Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, able to remain calm and make effective judgments under pressure.

• High sensitivity to market dynamics, able to respond quickly to market changes.

• Fluent in spoken and written English to accommodate international project collaboration needs.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Project.

• CAD Skill Level: Basic 3D.

• Familiarity with engineering tools such as FMEA, GD&T, SPC, FAI, DOE, Tolerance Stack-up analysis is a plus.
