OVERVIEW Action4Diabetes (A4D) is a UK registered charity dedicated to giving health and hope to people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in South-East Asia. We provide patients from disadvantaged families, access to life-saving medical supplies and a range of other additional support services for free. In collaboration with local healthcare providers, healthcare professionals (HCPs) NGOs and industry partners, A4D currently supports over 850 young people with T1D across 6 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. In 2024, we are expanding our programmes into Indonesia and the Philippines. We are looking for a competent Programme Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and execution tasks within A4D's initiatives in Vietnam. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals interested in contributing to the frontline of an NGO. Medical or charity experience is not a necessity but willing and being able to make a difference is. The primary responsibility of the role is to lead the execution of the HelloType1 (HT1) Programme in Vietnam, ensuring successful outcomes and fostering engagement with the T1D Community. Additionally, the Programme Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the A4D Clinic Support Programme (CSP), collaborating closely with partner HCPs in hospitals located in Hanoi and HCMC. Currently supporting 59 young people with T1D, we aim to expand this number to 100 within the next 12 months. The Programme Coordinator will actively contribute to the development, delivery, and coordination of both the HT1 and CSP programmes throughout Vietnam. This role requires strong planning, coordination, and communication skills, ensuring the successful implementation of defined activities in collaboration with various stakeholder groups, including HCPs, A4D local partners, industry partners, suppliers, and other A4D staff. Beyond organisational skills, genuine interest and empathy for patients and their families are crucial aspects of this role. The Programme Coordinator will be expected to conduct home visits across the country to connect with and support T1D individuals assisted by A4D. This position reports to the A4D Digital Innovation Manager. Working hours are flexible however should align with the expectations of 8 hours per day and minimum 20 days per month on average.
