https://aesmongduong.vn/ AES Mong Duong Power Company Limited (the “BOT Company”), formerly the AES-VCM Mong Duong Power Company Limited, owner of Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Project, is a limited liability company formed by the affiliates of The AES Corporation (USA), Meritz (Korea) and China Investment Corporation (China). The Company’s principal business activity is to produce thermal electricity. Specifically, it involves in the development, construction and operation of Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant under the Build-Operate-Transfer (“BOT”) model for a period of 25 years. The Company’s plant is located in Mong Duong Ward, Quang Ninh Province. . This is a coal-fired thermal plant, including 2 generators with the combined capacity of 1,242 MW. In 2015, the Company started its commercial operation of Unit 1 in March and Unit 2 in April . The head office of the Company is located at the same location of the plant. In addition, the Company also has a representative office located at Unit 302, 3rd Floor, Asia Tower Building, No.6 Nha Tho Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi.
