Worldwide Orphans Foundation (WWO) was founded in 1997 by Dr. Jane Aronson, a renowned pediatric infectious disease and adoption medicine specialist, who has dedicated her life to working with children. WWO addresses children’s physical and mental health, their education and their ability to plan for and to achieve what is productive and fulfilling in their own countries. Since 1997, WWO has supported programs in nine countries. Currently, WWO is working in Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Haiti, Serbia, and Vietnam, serving 35,000 beneficiaries. WWO Programs include Community/Capacity Building, Early Intervention, Education, Health, Camp, Global Arts, Sports, Orphan Rangers and Service Rangers. Besides the Head office in Maplewood, New Jersey, USA, WWO has two affiliates: WWO-Australia and WWO-Canada. WWO became active in Vietnam as a US-based not-for-profit organization since 2005. In the past 8 years, WWO has contributed to comprehensive and effective care and treatment for more than 1,500 Orphans and at risk children both in residential-care institutions and in the community. WWO also provides capacity building for hundreds of members from its partners institutions and stakeholders so that children in its programs can access and receive better services.
