Operation Breakdown Technician/ IE/ Technical

Product Development

1. Compile style operation breakdown and SMV according to customer tech pack or garment sample.

2. Follow up and update operation breakdown as well as SMV changes based on sample making process or customer feedback across different stages of development.

3. Collaborate with sample room to share good practices on sample making process to improve quality and efficiency as well as adaptable in bulk production.

4. Work with IE for time study to collect SMV data and share style operation breakdown and SMV to merchandizers for costing purpose.

5. Maintain the SMV database for future use and improvement.

Bulk Production

1. Standardize operation description, methodology and SMV according to the same style operation breakdown from product development stage to ensure different sewing lines working the same style to use the same operation breakdown for bulk production.

2. Provide style operation breakdown with SMV and check actual production to make sure line leaders and workers follow the operation breakdown to produce. If they are not aligned, need to know reasons either improve operation or request them to follow.

3. Collaborate with shop floor technicians, line supervisors and leaders to improve operation effectiveness and quality to deskill the complexity for helping worker adaptation.

4. Use IE shop floor time study data to review style SMV to know the differences then adjust SMV if needed to make SMV more realistic and applicable for production.

Others

1. Report to IE manager about the progress of operation breakdown and SMV working in product development and bulk production stages.

2. Support on ad hoc initiative regarding operation improvements for costing, production planning, bulk quality and efficiency purpose.

3. Participate in meeting to share ideas with merchandising, development, production and QC.

1. At least 7-10 years’ experience in the garment industry with either sample making, or production leader/supervisor experience.

2. At least 3 years’ hand-on operation breakdown and SMV working experiences on garment factory. Outerwear/performance wear with heat press/seam tape/down filling operation is preferred.

3. Strong communication skills, open-minded and adopt new practices for improvement. Willing to collaborate with cross-functional people.

4. Work flexibility and good time management skill, can work under pressure and time constraint.

5. Vietnamese is preferred, but overseas people is also welcome.

6. Vietnamese is a must. Bilingual is preferred such as Chinese or English.

7. Able to use Microsoft Word & Excel, have experience to use ERP, MES system is preferred.

8. Stationed in Vietnam.
