The Logistics Manager will oversee all the operational activities related to import and export shipments. This includes managing a team, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and compliance standards, handling documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers.
1. Team Supervision and Management:
a) Hire, lead and manage the operational team, ensuring effective execution of all logistics activities for ocean, air, and overland freight.
b) Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational activities in line with Global Headquarters' standards.
2. Operational Activities:
a) Oversee and coordinate all aspects of export shipments, including booking space with carriers, managing vessel schedules, and arranging trucking and Customs Declaration Services (CDS), submit the ISF, and prepare the documents for destination.
b) Manage the creation and issuance of Debit Notes, and follow up on customer payments to ensure timely collections.
c) Accurately input, monitor, and update shipment data using our system.
3. Customer Service and Coordination:
a) Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues related to shipments and ensuring customer satisfaction.
b) Coordinate with ocean and airfreight forwarders to resolve problems and meet customers’ requirements.
4. Continuous Improvement:
a) Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency, performance, and customer satisfaction.
5. Additional Responsibilities:
a) Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support company objectives.
Yêu cầu công việc
1. Experience and Education:
a) 3–7 years of experience in logistics, import/export, forwarding, or supply chain management.
b) Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is required.
2. Skills and Knowledge:
a) In-depth understanding of operation process of ocean freight.
b) Proficiency in MS Office and experience with TMS, ERP, or other logistical software systems is a plus.
c) Strong communication skills in both Vietnamese and English. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
3. Personal Attributes:
a) Customer service-driven with a proactive and motivated attitude.
b) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
c) Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
d) Strong sense of responsibility.
