Operational Control Analyst
Job description
Reporting: - Consolidation & reporting of daily position(region) to global team - Profit/Loss on a daily/weekly basis to the DPNL team. - Prepare Weekly/Monthly Platform review (WPR/MPR) - Complete Month end flash p/l – with explanations fully understood. - Provide data for Magnitude reporting: C & S packs – PL & BS monthly - Prepare monthly financials & comments for Variances (ACT vs BUD, MoM). Risk Management: - Consolidate of daily Positions of each origin & ensure no significant exposures/no unexplained differences - Consolidate Inventory & Open position management, valuation verification and MTM for compliance. - Consolidate monthly checklist of origins to ensure the mandatory controls are verified - Consolidate Market exposure, Credit Risk follow up. - Consolidate/Review & highlight foreign exchange exposures FP&A: - Contract level accrual vs actual cost analysis, highlight any significant deviations. - Consolidate/Report Cash flow forecast, working capital management periodically. - Support Budget/Reforecast/Landing/Business plan exercise. - Analyze & report profit/Loss drivers, highlight any significant movements - Margins, Net Interest, G&A and headcount review & analysis (actual Vs budget) including central/regional allocations. Control & Compliance: - Ensure no significant deviations from Trading to accounting pnl on a monthly basis. - Coordinate Intercompany volume & MTM reconciliations. - Participate in process developments and bring controls part of systems enhancements. - Monitor business operation process and update/create SOP to improve controlling and remove the overlap controlling points. - Initiate changing manual control to auto control, and defective control to preventive control. Adhoc - Work with origin control teams, organize workflows, and standardize, implement best processes across origins. - Support regional P&L and control issues as required, contribute platform/regional reporting. - Support new projects and handle adhoc requests (if any).
Job requirements
Experience: - At least 5 years of experience in Business Controller for Agriculture Commodities - Experience in coffee is beneficial. Other skills (Computer Skills, etc): - Strong analytical and numerate skills. Commercial mind set. - Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision - Be able to work under pressure, teamwork spirit. Languages: Be fluent in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Academics: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
