Packing Solution Manager/specialist (Working in Hai Phong Plant)

● Position Manager will be offered base on candidates experience and capability

● The Packaging Solution Department Manager leads the design, development, and optimization of packaging systems for automotive components and assemblies. This role ensures packaging meets durability, safety, cost, and sustainability standards while supporting efficient logistics.

● Develop packaging strategies for inbound parts, outbound shipments, and aftermarket components.

● Align packaging solutions with lean manufacturing, JIT delivery, and global supply chain requirements.

● Design and validate packaging for complex automotive parts (e.g., engines, electronics, body panels).

● Implement reusable and returnable packaging systems to reduce waste and cost.

● Ensure packaging meets automotive standards and regulatory requirements

● Conduct packaging audits and root cause analysis for damage or inefficiencies.

● Manage a team of packaging engineers and technicians across multiple sites or programs.

● Provide training on packaging protocols, safety, and continuous improvement.

● Collaborate with suppliers, 3PLs, EDC, Shops to ensure packaging compatibility and performance.

● Oversee packaging procurement, cost negotiations, and vendor performance.

● Drive initiatives for lightweight materials, recyclability, and carbon footprint reduction

● Monitor packaging spend and identify cost-saving opportunities through design and process improvements.

● Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design (Master’s preferred).

● 7+ years of experience in packaging within the automotive or heavy manufacturing sector.

● Experience with returnable packaging design.

● Strong understanding of automotive logistics, part protection requirements, and global shipping standards.

● Works well within a team, contributing to a cooperative and productive work atmosphere.

● Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines

● Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.

● Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.

● Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

● Appropriate knowledge in Strategic Packaging Development, Engineering & Innovation, Compliance & Quality
