Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pattern Maker specializing in denim and jeans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pattern design, particularly within the factory, sourcing office, and brand environments. Familiarity with other design applications is preferred. This role involves working closely with customers, technical teams, and production to ensure high-quality pattern development and accurate execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Information Management:

Receive and review detailed technical specifications, sample garments, and customer requirements.

Analyze documents such as Tech Packs and Trim Lists to ensure comprehensive understanding of the project scope.

Evaluate and analyze sample garments, identifying key elements for pattern creation.

Organize and manage storage domains and develop rule sheets for project consistency.

Pattern Design:

Customer Block-Based Design:

Review, adjust, and refine seams, garment structure, and measurements.

Create complete, detailed patterns based on customer-provided blocks, adhering to technical specifications and trim lists.

New Pattern Development:

Design new blocks from sample garments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Finalize patterns, including the creation of 3D virtual samples for fit verification if required.

Produce full pattern details and models in alignment with technical specifications and trim lists.

Sample Production Coordination:

Transfer patterns to cutting layouts, ensuring precise and accurate translation.

Record and incorporate feedback from sample production, quality control, and customer reviews.

Finalize fits and submit patterns to customers for approval, making necessary adjustments based on feedback.

Final Pattern Preparation and Delivery:

Implement customer feedback and adjustments.

Complete full sizing according to the size chart and ensure all details are meticulously documented.

Dispatch finalized patterns to the factory, ensuring alignment with production timelines.

Data Management:

Upload and maintain all relevant pattern information in the system for easy retrieval and project tracking.

Reporting:

Provide daily updates and reports on pattern development progress, ensuring transparency and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Pattern Maker, specifically with denim and jeans.

Strong understanding of pattern design principles and garment construction.

Experience in factory, sourcing office, and brand environments.

Knowledge and familiarity with various design applications; proficiency in 3D virtual sampling is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
