Plant IT Support Engineer

You’ll create impact by:

• Ensuring Robust IT Infrastructure: Manage and maintain the factory's network (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls), provide daily operational IT support, troubleshoot issues, and implement strong information security protocols. Also oversee user access, system backups, IT equipment lifecycle, and ensure compliance with Siemens global IT policies.

• Developing & Optimizing Software Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain software applications and database solutions to enhance factory operations. This includes creating automation scripts, integrating with existing Siemens systems, performing code reviews, maintaining technical documentations and collaborating with global and regional IT teams.

• Driving Process Efficiency & Digitalization: Analyze and optimize IT/SAP processes, develop and implement improvement initiatives, and document standard operating procedures. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects like digitalization and automation, working closely with cross-functional teams.

• Contributing to IT Strategy & Support: Lead special projects, support IT training for staff, assist with IT budget planning, and contribute to the facility's overall IT strategic planning.

Your defining qualities:

• Educational Background & Professional Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Have at least 3 years of experience in network administration and IT support, coupled with 2+ years in software development. Experience with manufacturing IT systems and SAP/ERP systems is a strong advantage.

• Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols, with hands-on experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, and network security. Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and skilled in database management (e.g., SQL, Oracle). An understanding of information security principles and practices is essential, and knowledge of industrial control systems, OT networks, or virtualization technologies would be a great asset. Having certification in any technical skills are preferable.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, allowing you to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.

• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills in English (Vietnamese language skills preferred) enable you to interact effectively with diverse teams. Able to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating good time management and adaptability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
