Plant Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Contribute toward achieving the highest level of profitability for the company by effectively managing an apparel manufacturing facility. Operate the facility in accordance with all required government and company regulations, and ensure the implementation of effective programs which meet production, delivery, cost, quality, and efficiency goals while controlling turnover and absenteeism, promoting teamwork and safety awareness.

List Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities

1. Lead the team to deliver and maintain plant as the most efficiency, competitive cost and good quality in supply chain

2. Build and maintain working culture align with Company ‘s purpose “ We are creating a more comfortable world for Every Body”

3. Manage ongoing cost reduction projects, cost avoidance and continuous improvement projects for the whole Plant.

4. Provide safe work areas and motivate happy work place for all employees. Build and develop team to new level to catch up and lead change.

5. Serve as the company’s primary contact with Vietnam Customs officials, keeping track of all relevant rulings and advising top management of significant changes in Customs regulations as well as liaising with freight companies regarding product shipments.

6. Represent the company as required at government, community and professional organizations,

7. Attend required meetings and react to those as necessary. Serve on taskforces and other initiatives as necessary to support the needs of the business.

8. Provide facility support necessary for launch of new products.

9. Recommend to Senior Management any policy or procedure changes which would likely enhance the operation of the facility.

10. Perform other tasks as request by Operations Director.

Experience/Skills/Education Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

I. Requirements:

• Education/Degrees: Bachelors Degree preferably in manufacturing, textiles, or engineering. MS or MBA a plus.

• English: fluency with 4 skills

• Special requirement:

+ Excellent in inspiring team

+ Excellent in critical thinking, creative thinking

• Years of experience: Minimum of 6 to10 years in the apparel manufacturing industry in position of Site Manager, Plant Manager Preferred with companies or contractors of American, European or Japanese ownership or partnership.

II. Preferred experience, skills, and education that is not required for job but beneficial to role (i.e. bi-lingual).

• Certificates/Licenses: ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Training, Leadership Training.
