What is PodCourse?

Podcourse (a portmanteau of Podcast and Course) is a new feature in Fonos' lifelong learning ecosystem. Each PodCourse will talk about a specific topic, led by an expert, or person with extensive experience in that field (mentor/coach). PodCourse will be more about sharing and transmitting personal experiences than just teaching step by step like a real course.

About the Role

As the Podcourse Senior Content Editor you will be responsible for generating topic ideas, executing, and ensuring the quality of PodCourses content to align with the company’s vision and meet the needs of the target audience. This role includes sourcing and collaborating with mentors to develop content and fine-tune the PodCourses scripts, as well as working closely with the PodCourses producer and video editor to ensure each PodCourses is captivating and delivers value.

Research and Content Development

- Synthesize information to generate topic ideas that leverage the mentor's strengths and expertise.

- Ability to research the needs of the target audience and analyze data from sales & marketing to propose topics.

Proofreading and Editing

- Fact-check to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Correct spelling, grammar, and syntax to maintain high-quality outputs.

Editing and Publishing

- Edit recorded materials: trim raw files and refine transcripts to create engaging content.

- Develop compelling course descriptions, including course name, overview, mentor introduction, and episode details.

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Television, Communications, or 3-5 years of experience in content editing and multimedia content production.

- Experienced in script editing for multimedia audiovisual products.

- Skilled in collaborating with mentors and experts to develop high-quality content.

- Possesses a deep understanding of Fonos' target audience.

- Excellent writing skills, tech-savvy, strong organizational abilities, research skills, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.

- Fluency in English is an advantage.
