Process Engineer

Basic Function

Process Engineer will be responsible for:

• Developing, Optimizing and Implementing the process of the project

• Ensuring Project deliverables meet technical requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure process engineering design and documentation is consistent with study and project scope & objectives.

2. Develop and assist in the development of the following:

• Process Design Criteria (PDC).

• Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

• Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

• Control philosophies.

• Process equipment sizing.

• Heat and Mass balances and models.

• Trade-off studies, operating cost estimates & high-level financial models etc.

3. Provide process engineering and mineral processing expertise all the way through engineering phases from conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design and similarly develop connections in the wider Mincore to leverage capability.

4. Apply innovative solutions and technological developments that bring greater value to clients.

5. Work in collaboration with the broader team.

6. Capable of prioritizing and delivering work in a fast-moving environment.

7. Develop technical specifications and designs to meet project specific objectives.

8. Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering

Skill & Experience

• Experience with studies and projects in a consulting engineering company.

• 1-3 years of solid experience working with mineral processing combined with study delivery (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, trade-offs, basic and detail engineering).

• Experience in metallurgical test work, operations and maintenance will be an asset for the successful candidate.

• Experience with concentrator and hydrometallurgical plant design (greenfield and brownfield projects) – for a wide range of minerals and metals: tungsten, limes, gold/silver and others.

• Experience in the field of engineering, design, construction, commissioning and operation.

• Ability to effectively translate field and engineering experience to other process staff and design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify underlying principles or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.

• Well-developed written and oral skills.

• Demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in providing engineering solutions.
