Procurement Assistant Manager

• Site responsible person for all Raw Material, Indirect Material and CAPEX procurement activities, acting as first point of contact for all Procurement related queries on-site.

• Data-Driven Raw Materials Management: stay up to date with market intelligence, develop negotiation tactics and build strategy for various Raw Material categories, ensuring best balance between cost, supply security, and other considerations.

• Negotiations & Price Renewal: Perform periodic negotiations and price renewal for Raw Materials to secure favorable terms, achieve cost savings, and improve overall profitability.

• Raw Material Sourcing: Support business needs by sourcing new Raw Materials and selecting suppliers, considering factors such as quality, cost optimization, lead times, supply chain reliability, sustainability, and product innovation.

• Indirect Materials (IM) & CAPEX: Perform sourcing and RFx activities, including supplier selection and justification based on business requirements, and Becker’s internal policies. Support functional departments to draft specifications before commencing sourcing.

• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Collaborate closely with quality control and assurance teams to maintain strict quality standards for raw materials and finished products. Ensure compliance of materials with industry-specific regulations and safety standards,

• Analyze/update market trends (top materials on site) for updating of Global reports, and work with local functions – technical, operations and sales – to identify, track and drive cost-saving opportunities

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements, including terms and conditions for the supply of raw materials.

• Work with end users to ensure quality of procured items and address problems together when they arise.

• Ensure timely and accurate update of Master Data, including prices of RM and IM in system.

• Ensure timely submission of reports to Global as and when required.

• Coordinate Global/Regional categories between plant and Category managers to ensure designated portfolios timely communicated and fix problems together

• Contribute and coordinate with lab for savings and tracking, including reporting to Global.

• Simulate RM price impact and advise company on impact if needed.

• Support the company’s sustainability initiatives by ensuring suppliers sign CoC and are Ecovadis approved.

• Handle procurement process for all IM on site, as governed by IM SOP.

• Degree preferably in Business or related fields

• Proven experience, minimum 5 years in procurement within the paint or chemical industry.

• Effective communication skill at all levels

• Computer literate
