Mission:

The Project & Product Engineer is primarily responsible for managing and executing customer projects related to assembly solutions of Desoutter Industrial Tools; the scope is extending as well to solutions demonstration in the customer. This role involves technical evaluation, concept design, coordination with customers and suppliers, installation supervision, and ensuring project delivery on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluates customer/end user, RFQ (Request For Quotation) requirements and customer/end user specifications for project opportunities.

• Conceptualizes the application and integrates our solution where applicable.

• Validates and ensures that our solution will meet the RFQ requirements; if not, create an offering with properly documented deviations.

• Technically writes up proposals using standard quote processes or customer required if necessary.

• Compiles data to prepare a costing estimate, using QT (Quotation Tool) work sheet.

• Evaluates offering and estimates risk. If risk is a concern, set up internal review.

• Assist sales in the pricing process by contributing info of history and competition.

• Execute Project Management in Kick Off, Buy Off and Final Acceptance phase and closing in internal system.

• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical presentations to customers.

• Service support during project phase by programming, configuring, and debugging the assembly solutions.

To succeed, You will need

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field.

Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation, assembly tools, or related project roles.

• Experience with torque tools, fastening systems, or robotic automation is an advantage.

Knowledge:

• Standard office software (MS Teams, MS Office, SharePoint).

• Database (SQL / Oracle) and networks (network topology, TCP / IP, subnet mask, DNS, switches, routers, gateway, etc.).

• IT Network and database knowledge (RavenDB will be an advantage).

• Interfaces and industrial communication standards (RS-232/485/422, XML, Open Protocol, Field Bus).

• Programming and tightening solutions configuration will be considered a differential.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical systems.

• Project management and coordination ability.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks (3D/2D) is an advantage.

• Knowledge of assembly automation.

• Data Collection Systems.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Fluent in Vietnamese and good command of English (spoken & written).
