Product Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development to join our furniture division. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end product development process, from concept design to mass production, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements. The position requires close collaboration with design, QC team, sourcing, merchandiser and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to support innovative furniture development.

• Work with design and engineering teams to create product concepts, drawings, and specifications.

• Coordinate with suppliers and factories on sampling, materials selection, cost analysis, and technical feasibility.

• Oversee prototype and sample development, ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent.

• Evaluate product quality, durability, functionality, and compliance with safety standards.

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time product launches.

• Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams to optimize costs and ensure production efficiency.

• Prepare and maintain product documentation, including specifications, BOMs, and testing reports.

• Provide continuous support for improvements in design, packaging, and sustainability initiatives.

• Ensure product quality, performance, and compliance through testing and validation.

• Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend improvements.

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.

• Prepare and maintain product documentation, including specifications and development reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Development, Furniture Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience (2–5 years) in product development, preferably in the furniture industry.

• Strong knowledge of furniture materials, construction methods, and production processes.

• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

• Good command of English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in furniture development.

• Knowledge of international safety and quality standards (e.g., BIFMA, EN, FSC….).

• Familiarity with sustainable materials and eco-friendly design practices.
